PORTAGE | If you are interested in volunteering your time to an organization working with pets and people then the Porter County Pet Project & Kibble Kitchen may be for you!

The organization is hosting an informational volunteer meeting from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 25 at the Portage Public Library, 2665 Irving St.

The meeting will detail what the organization is all about and allow potential volunteers to ask questions and fill out a volunteer application. All are welcome and those that bring a guest will be entered into a drawing for a door prize.

Volunteers must be 18 or older and anyone under that age must be accompanied by an adult.

RSVP prior to Jan. 18 by joining the event on the group’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KibbleKitchen as seating is limited to 40.

The Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry will be opening services to parts of Lake County in 2014 and all hands on deck will be needed to be successful.
