Pet parade

Kick off National Assisted Living Week with a pet parade at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9. Dogs of all kinds will be “struttin’ their stuff." Each dog owner and dog will be introduced as they walk the runway. Gifts will be given to each participant. This event is free.

CVS bingo

CVS Pharmacy is sponsoring bingo at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10. This event is free. Call to register.

Chorus of the Dunes Barbershop Harmony

Men of all ages, from all walks of life, are banded together in barbershop chorus and quartets for the sheer joy of singing. They will perform at 2 p.m. Sept. 12. Come to hear this chorus perform at Miller’s Senior Living Community.

Seniors have talent show

Seniors, 65 or older, will be performing their talent at an annual talent show at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 13. Singers, instrumentalists, dancers, juggler’s and more will be performing. The show is free.

Caregiver Support Group

The Caregiver Support Group provides information in a supportive environment where caregivers can share problems, ideas and successful solutions. The group meets at 10 a.m. Sept. 14. Refreshments will be served. This ongoing Caregiver Support Group meets on the second Saturday of each month.

Sunday buffet

Miller’s Senior Living Community is serving a buffet of breakfast and dinner items from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 and 29. The buffet is being offered at $12 per person.

Low Vision Support Group

Miller’s Senior Living Community is now offering a Low Vision Support Group at 10 a.m. Sept. 16. This support group helps people with limited or low vision to know of resources, devises and tips that help cope with the challenges of low vision. Refreshments will be served at this free meeting.
