PORTAGE | NorthShore Health Centers will be observing National Women’s Health Week May 13th – 17th. Women’s Health Week is a weeklong health observance coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office to promote women’s health and its importance.

Women often serve as caregivers for their families, putting the needs of their spouses, partners, children and parents before their own. This week helps empower women to make their health a priority and encourages them to take steps to improve their physical and mental health and lower their risks of certain diseases.

To support the importance of Women’s Health, NorthShore Health Centers has partnered with Indiana Breast Center to help provide health screening to women at a reduced cost. NorthShore will be providing breast exams, complete metabolic profiles,* pap test and mammogram. (*Pap Smears and Mammograms are ordered based on family history, age and recommended guidelines from American Cancer Society and/or American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist.)
