PORTAGE | A Portage man faces two felony charges after being accused by his sister of taking a pizza from her home.

Benjamin Perez, 18, of Portage faces theft and residential entry charges. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of minor consumption of alcohol.

Police were called about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to a home in the 400 block of 4th Street.

A man told police he was sleeping on the couch when he saw Perez holding an extra large pepperoni pizza.

The man and Perez's sister told police that Perez did not have permission to be in the home and ran off with the $17 pizza.

Police found Perez outside his home, also in the 400 block of 4th Street. He denied being at his sister's home or taking the pizza.

Police said Perez appeared intoxicted, so he was arrested.

They then spoke to his mother, who found a pizza in her room. She told police she didn't know how it got there.

Another minor at Perez's home was also arrested on charges of minor consumption of alcohol.
