PORTAGE | The Portage Fire Department and J&J's Pizza Shack will hold a third annual smoke detector blitz from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
During those hours, members of the fire department will be out with the pizza company's delivery drivers looking for families who have working smoke detectors.
Families who have ordered a delivery from J&J's with working smoke detectors in their home when the delivery arrives, will received a coupon for one free large pizza. If they don't have a detector, firefighters will provide a free detector and batteries.
