PORTAGE | Portage High School freshmen will have an opportunity to explore high-tech career opportunities in manufacturing facilities in the city.

In addition, the public will be invited to view products manufactured in Portage.

Manufacturers of the Portage area have been invited to set up exhibits and showcase products or manufacturing processes, along with discussing career opportunities for the students.

The Manufacturing/Career Day event will be at the Portage High School Fieldhouse on Thursday. All 600 Portage freshmen will have an opportunity to learn about careers in manufacturing from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30pm.

From 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., the exhibits will be open to the public. Enter through Door D.

The event is sponsored by the Portage Economic Development Corp.
