Vacant house in Portage is found vandalized, items taken 

PORTAGE | The owner of a vacant home in the 5300 block of Stone Avenue reported to police Monday evening that the home had been vandalized.

The owner told police sometime within the last month, a window on the west side of the house was broken and it appeared someone set fire to a dog house next to the house, causing damage. Also, an air conditioning unit was stolen. Damage was valued at $800.


Truck driver reports theft from semi-tractor parked in Portage

PORTAGE | A truck driver reported to police Monday that his semi-tractor had been broken into overnight while it was parked at the Best Western Motel, 6200 U.S. 20.

The driver's side window of the cab had been broken and reported missing was a CB radio, GPS system, laptop computer, headphones and flash light. Damage and missing items were valued at $2,630.
