Portage resident reports items were stolen from unlocked car
PORTAGE | A resident of the 3100 block of Teresa Street reported to police Monday someone had entered her unlocked car and stole several items.
Missing from her vehicle were her purse and wallet, several identification and credit cards, cash and a pair of sunglasses. She also told police someone may have used one of her credit cards at a local gas station after checking her online bank account.
Man arrested on allegations for stealing from his employer
PORTAGE | A Portage man was arrested Monday for allegedly steal money from his employer.
Ryan V. Jevyak, 21, was charged with theft after he was allegedly spotted on a store video made Dec. 15, taking $85 in cash from a cash register at Ace Hardware, 5979 Central Ave.
Cat, television missing after burglary from Portage home
PORTAGE | A resident of the 600 block of Camelot Manor reported to police Monday afternoon that someone had entered their home.
A neighbor reported the door of the home ajar. Police responded and contacted the son of the home's owner who met police at the home.
He reported a television and telephone appeared to be missing along with his mother's cat. Entrance to the home appeared to have been made by breaking a door.
