PORTAGE TOWNSHIP | A woman was ejected from her car in a crash at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. 6 and County Road 450 West.
Porter County Sheriff's Department said the woman suffered a head injury and complained of pain to her torso. Police said her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Authorities said their initial investigation shows that woman was eastbound on U.S. 6 and did not stop for a red light. She struck a car that was southbound on County Road 450 West. Those cars then ran into a school bus that was northbound on 450 West. There were no children on the school bus, which had only minor damage and was driven away from the scene.
The two other cars sustained heavy front-end damage.
