PORTAGE | The South Haven Volunteer Fire Department will present the 9th annual Firefighter’s Ball on March 9.
Festivities kick off with cocktails at 6 p.m. at Duneland Falls Banquet Hall, 1100 N. Ind. 149. Festivities include cocktail hour, dinner, silent auction, awards ceremony and dancing. Dinner is at 7. Tickets are $50 each and can be bought at the South Haven Volunteer Fire Department.
The awards ceremony will honor volunteer firefighters and residents for their outstanding achievements and service in 2012.
Money raised through the popular silent auction help to support the department and buy needed rescue equipment and supplies. To donate an item, gift card or basket for the silent auction, contact Vicki at vkalmar@southhavenfire.com or call (219) 331-5865. South Haven Fire Department Inc. is a nonprofit organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Sponsor packages include;
• Chief’s Staff-(Gold Package $500): includes six tickets to the ball, full-page ad in program and a reserved table at the event
• Officer’s Squad (Silver Package $350): includes four tickets to the ball and ½-page ad in program.
• Firefighter (Blue Package $200): includes two tickets to the ball and ¼-page ad in program.
Tickets are sold individually for $50 per person, which includes dinner, open bar and dancing.
