PORTAGE | Two Portage teachers were honored recently by the Hoosier Association of Science Inc.
Becky Mitcheltree, a fourth-grade teacher at Aylesworth Elementary School, was chosen as the Cheryl Cowen Elementary award winner, and Stephanie Tokarski, a Willowcreek Middle School teacher, was the Charlotte Boener Middle School award winner.
Both teachers were cited for their excellence in science education.
The two will receive their awards at the 2013 HASTI conference in Indianapolis on Feb. 7.
