PORTAGE | Marcia Kistler said, at the least, it is unnerving.
Kistler and her family have been attempting to sell their home in the 5500 block of Orchard Street. Recently they received a request from a real estate agent to have a showing.
That's nothing new. They've had 16 showings since the home went up for sale.
But this time, she said, the agent came by himself. The eight minutes he spent inside the home were captured by video tape. They showed the agent looking inside a kitchen cabinet above the refrigerator, then looking out the front window and finally, pulling a chair up the the cabinet area, standing on the chair and looking at medicine bottles within the cabinet.
"As far as I know he didn't take anything," she said, adding the incident startled her family and she believes she needed to share it with others as a cautionary tale.
Kistler reported it to the police and filed a report. Portage police confirmed this week they are looking into the incident, but were unsure if any charges could be filed against the agent.
Kistler declined to name the agent who came to her home.
