Men's fall basketball league
Men's fall basketball league begins Sunday and runs 2 to 5 p.m. every Sunday afternoon; adults 18 and older. The cost is now $400.
Trick or Treat Trail Walk
Enjoy an evening out with the family while getting some exercise from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Enter at the front door of the Y to purchase wristbands. Then go to the outdoor trail, where candy treats will be provided by area business vendors. Wear a costume and bring a flashlight to help you down the trail. YMCA glow-in-the-dark T-shirts will be available for purchase; $5 for Y members; or $10 per family non members.
Parents night out
Let us care for your child while you enjoy time out. Kids ages 5 to 12 will engage in planned activities and movement-based games in the Teen Center. Children will get dinner and often end with a movie. The vent is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 18. Register by 5 p.m. Oct. 16.

Free running club
The Free Community Running Club is for amateur runners. They meet at 6 p.m. every Tuesday in the YMCA lobby. Membership is not needed. Dress for the weather. All one-hour runs will be outside unless it is lightning or below 15 degrees. Participants will be running three to five miles with calisthenics and stretching. Must be 14 and up to participate. Fun Zone is only available to YMCA members.

Youth Basketball League
Registration for boys and girls ages 3 - 12 continues through Oct. 13. First practice is 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Duneland YMCA gym. Season starts Oct.26 and runs through Dec. 14. The 3- to 9-year-olds practice Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and a game on Saturday; 10- to 12-year-olds practice on Tuesday, game on Thursday. Cost is $40 for members; $80 for non-members. Multiple child discounts and financial assistance available.
Preseason coach meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Parents interested in becoming coaches and assistant coaches should plan on attending. We rely on you to volunteer as coaches. We will train you, we only require your desire to work with children in a positive development based sports program.
Pilates Bender Method
The Bender method is sculpts the body without risk of over-use injuries. Classes each Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m.
Fat burning cardio exercise comprised of punching and kicking to fast paced music. Classes are at 9 a.m. Tuesdays.

Lil Rug Bugs
This gymnastics-based class for kids ages four to six focuses on body positions, listening skills, balance, coordination, and very basic tumbling skills. Class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 until 4 p.m. at the Y’s Green Gym Court. Cost is $36 for members and $62 for community. Class runs Oct. 28 to Dec. 15.
Yankee Candle Fundraiser

VU soccer clinic
Hosted by the Valparaiso University Men’s Soccer Team, this one-day clinic is for ages 4 through 10. Youth will learn soccer basics and can prepare for the upcoming indoor soccer league. The session time for ages 4 through 6 is 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. and ages 7 through 10 will meet from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10. The cost is $10 for Y members and $20 for residents.
