The bus was stopped on Ind. 8 near County Road 250 West after one girl scratched and bit staff members who were trying to restrain the girl, whose age was not released.

The girl was taken by police to the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center, but police said JDC would not hold her and she was released to school officials.
