A Porter County man wanted on three charges each of molesting someone under 14 and of incest is being held for extradition in California.
Erick Boots, 21, was arrested by Long Beach, Calif., police on April 3 and has been held without bail in the Pitchess Detention Center East Facility in Castaic, a Los Angeles suburb. According to court records he was scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Municipal Court Friday.
Charges filed by the Porter County Prosecutor's Office on March 11 allege Boots forced three other relatives to perform sex acts on him over a one-year span. The acts occurred in his bedroom, and on one occasion he did it while a friend of his was present, urging the friend to allow the relative to perform the sex act on him as well.
The probable cause affidavit states Boots at first denied all the allegations of sexual contact with the three by saying his parents invented the story because they were upset he moved to California. He later admitted to forcing sex acts on one of the relatives and blamed it on the claim his was molested as a 15-year-old by a church member.
