Spring plant sale

CROWN POINT | Wittenberg Village will have a charity plant sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  at The Crown of Life Chapel, 1200 E. Luther Drive. Proceeds will benefit those residents at Wittenberg Village who outlive their assets. Plants include geraniums, mixed flowers and hanging baskets. Call (219) 661-3777.

Walk For Peace

GARY | Walk For Peace will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Tolleston Park and head down 15th Avenue to Mount Zion AME Church, 1765 Tyler St. Political leaders, youth leaders and families who have experienced gun violence will be in attendance. There will be music, praise and worship. Call (219) 512-2712.

Night At The Races

CRETE | St. Columba Church is sponsoring a night at the races from 6 to 9 p.m. at Balmoral Race Track, 26435 S. Dixie Highway. Price is $50 per person, which includes admission, racing program, reserved seating in the clubhouse, and a two-hour all-you-can-eat buffet. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased after masses or call the office (773) 646-2660 9 a.m to 2 p.m. Monday to Thursday.

The Master's Chorale

HAMMOND | The Master's College of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Christian Fellowship Church will present a program of sacred music by the Master's Chorale, a 60-member choir and music ministry from The Master's College, at 10:45 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Church, 605 165th St. The repertoire is composed of music from every major stylistic period, and the group performs more than 30 concerts and worship services each year.
