Temple Israel Totally Terrific Trivia Night

All You Can Eat Soup Kitchen & Salad Bar

MERRILLVILLE | St. Andrew's annual all-you-can-eat soup kitchen and salad bar is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ameling Hall, 801 W. 73rd Ave. Carryouts available, a quart is $6, pint is $3. More than 50 homemade soups plus 10 local restaurant soups. There will also be a bake sale. Proceeds go to the Deacon George Modrak Tuition Assistance Fund for Aquinas School at St. Andrew's Parish. Polish Dinner fundraiser

WHITING | Polish dinner fundraiser planned from noon to 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1801 Atchison Ave. Dinner includes: Polish sausage, sauerkraut, pierogi, cabbage roll, bread, dessert and a beverage. KofC Annual Pasta Dinner

MERRILLVILLE | The Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Hoffman Council, will have an annual pasta dinner. Meals are all-you-can-eat and include pasta, garlic bread, salad, and coffee from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Parish Hall, 200 E. 78th Ave. This will support various parish ministries. Men's Conference

MERRILLVILLE | Inaugural Men's Conference hosted by Living Hope Church  is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 9000 Taft St. Special guest speaker is Ted DiBiase, a retired WWE Hall Of Fame professional wrestler, best known for his role as the villainous Million Dollar Man of the World Wrestling Federation. Today, after authoring a book about his life Every Man Has His Price, DiBiase is a fulltime evangelist and motivational speaker. Officially ordained into the ministry, he is speaking to church congregations, youth groups, men's meetings, corporate businesses, and in public schools and universities all over the world.DiBiase is also a spokesperson for and board member of The Sunshine Foundation.
