St. Paul Episcopal marks 125th

MUNSTER | St. Paul Episcopal Church is celebrating its 125th anniversary at 10 a.m. at 1101 Park Drive. The church was founded in Hammond in 1888 and rededicated in Munster in 1989.  A reception will follow in the Cloister in the Woods. Call (219) 838-3803.

African pastor will speak

MUNSTER | The community is welcome to hear African pastor Richard Banda speak at 10 a.m. at Mercy Hill Church, 900 Ridgeway Ave. This service will include the congregation of Hope Church in Griffith. Pastor Banda is from Lusaka, Zambia, where he leads the Ramah Life Ministries group of churches. He is a gifted musician, recording artist and inspiring speaker with an international ministry. Croatian Parish Day

GARY | St. Joseph the Worker Croatian Church will host its annual Croatian Parish Day after Mass, from noon to 4:30 p.m., at 330 E. 45th Ave. Barbecue lamb and pig, sarma (stuffed cabbage), raznjici (shish-ka-bob), muckalica (pork stir fry) and cevapcici dinners will be sold. GARY | God's Grace Church and Grace Community Development will offer a free Summer Feeding Enrichment Program for children 5 to 18 years old through Aug. 9 at God's Grace Church, 4580 Broadway. VBS at Bethel Church

CEDAR LAKE | VBS at Bethel Church will be held from 9 a.m to noon through Thursday for children 4 years old through sixth grade at the Cedar Lake campus at 13620 Wicker Ave. Each day of VBS includes an opening session filled with music and games, followed by a lesson, craft time (during which the school-age kids do service projects two days during the week), and game time. There is a family night for parents and siblings on the final day of each VBS week at 6:30 p.m. An offering will be taken throughout the week to buy solar panels for a medical facility in Sierra Leone, Africa.
