LAPORTE | Police in LaPorte are looking for a beer thief described as a "snaggle tooth." Officers about 10 p.m. Tuesday responded to Speedway at 1107 W. Ind. 2.

According to police, a store clerk reported two men went to the back of the store and stayed there for several minutes before leaving.

The clerk went to where the men were and discovered a six pack of beer was missing.

Police said the men appeared intoxicated and fled in a purple vehicle.

The clerk said one of the men was heavyset and the other was "snaggle tooth" with "teeth clearly out of place," according to police. -- By Stan Maddux, Times Correspondent
