SOUTH HAVEN | Poor spelling and difficulty drawing a swastika led police to believe a youngster may be responsible for the graffiti discovered at South Haven Elementary School.
Police were called Wednesday moring to to the school at 395 Midway Drive where a school custodian discovered the work scratched on a freshly painted door.
Along with some obscene words and an obscene drawing, police noted the words "WITE PRID" and two poorly drawn swastikas.
"It appeared as if the vandal was unsure on how to draw the icon due to multiple incorrect lines and attempts to draw it correctly," wrote Officer Kevin VanKley.
"Due to the proximity of the door to the playground and based on the illiteracy, choice of words, and failed attempts at correctly drawing the choice of graffiti, it appears the culprit is of a young age," the report states.
