PORTAGE TOWNSHIP | Police said a woman found rolling around topless on the lawn of her mobile home Friday was high and very drunk.

Porter County sheriff's police were called shortly before 10:45 p.m. to a home in the 400 block of Friendship Street in the Pleasant Valley mobile home park, where neighbors reported a naked woman falling in the street and rolling around in the front yard.

Portage officers found Alanna Hayman, 22, rolling around in the grass, not wearing a shirt or bra and screaming nonsense.

Portage police said they provided Hayman, who smelled of alcohol, with a blanket to cover up. When Porter County officers arrived, they found Hayman sitting on the curb and yelling.

Police said due to her fall and her inability to answer questions about what she might have consumed, medics were called to transport Hayman to Porter hospital.

While being put in an ambulance, the woman punched a South Haven Fire Department medic and had to be physically restrained by officers, police said.

Police said once Hayman got in the ambulance, she said she had been drinking and took some Ecstasy pills. She then screamed all the way to the hospital, police said, attempting to bite officers and medics several times.

Inside the hospital, police said Hayman again tried to bite officers and made threatening statements before passing out.

Police said Hayman had a 0.42 blood alcohol content and tested positive for opiates and marijuana consumption.

After about nine hours, she was released from the hospital and was taken to Porter County Jail. She faces possible battery, public nudity, public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges.
