Yard sale benefits youths

'Revelation' DVD shown

HAMMOND | Hessville Bible Church will be showing a DVD presentation on "The Seven Churches of Revelation" from 6 to 7 p.m. at 6518 Grand Ave. This program is identifying the problems and corrections of the church, and gives hope and encouragement for the future. Joe Stowell, the former president of Moody Bible Institute, will help take a closer look at the struggles of New Testament churches and the correction of those problems today. Call (219) 844-8900.

Summer camp

GARY | God's Grace Church and Grace Community Development will offer a free Summer Feeding Enrichment Program for children 5 to 18 years old through Aug. 9. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 9 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. at the church, 4580 Broadway. Call (219) 902-2010.

Vacation Bible school

Bible camp

HEBRON | God's Backyard Bible Camp will be offered from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through Friday at 202 E. Sigler St. It offers an outdoor adventure where kids have a blast serving Jesus. Call the church for more information and to register; registration is also each night of VBS. Kids can look forward to interactive Bible lessons, snack, music, craft and games. A Family Fun Night on Friday includes swimming, a bounce house, food, games, campfire and vespers. The mission for the week will be Billy and Leah DeLaughter from African Christian Mission International, with a goal to help buy siding and windows for a preschool and children's building at a new church in Tanzania, Africa. CEDAR LAKE | Crown Point First United Methodist Church will host an all-you-can-eat chicken dinner to benefit NWI Women of Faith from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Great Oaks Banquet Hall at 13109 Ind. 41. Menu includes fried chicken, battered french fries, salad, rolls, homemade desserts and iced tea, lemonade or coffee. Carry outs will be available, as well as a homemade coffee cake sale.
