SOUTH HAVEN | A South Haven man was arrested Friday on charges he used the Internet to download and distribute child pornography.

Vincent C. Hix, 48, of the 300 block of Keystone Drive, was arrested on charges of child exploitation and possession of child pornography, both felonies.

The Indiana State Police Crimes Against Children Unit and a detective and trooper assigned to the Lowell District executed a search warrant at his home.

A warrant for Hix was issued in connection with allegations he used an Internet connection to distribute images and videos depicting child pornography, according to police. A mobile forensic vehicle was used, and evidence was recovered during the on-scene forensic preview of digital devices and media, police said.

The vehicle enables investigators to do on-scene examinations in a mobile forensics laboratory, according to police.
