VALPARAISO | AAUW members are taking orders for holiday wreaths of fresh Scotch pine with pinecones and red bows. The wreaths are made in Northwest Indiana and can be used indoors or out.
Wreaths are available in four sizes: 20 inch for $15; 24 inch for $20; 32 inch for $25 and 44 inch for $35. Orders are due by Nov. 11. Call (219) 477-7454 to order.
The annual wreath sale helps to support the scholarship program of the Valparaiso Branch of American Association of University Women.
This is a national organization that promotes equity for women and girls through advocacy, education philanthropy and research. Each year, the Valparaiso branch awards a scholarship to a Porter County woman. The 2013 application process will be announced in February.
AAUW's scholarship fund is administered through the Porter County Community foundation.
