VALPARAISO | The community is invited to experience food, fun, music and dancing at the annual Gloria de Cinco De Mayo event at noon Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, 1700 Monticello Park Drive.

The afternoon will begin with authentic home-cooked Mexican cuisine prepared by the families of the Gloria Dei mission. After lunch, the Gloria de Hispanic folkloric dance group will delight the audience with their Mexican dances and traditional costumes. The afternoon will end with the children trying their hand at the candy-filled pinatas.

There is no fee to attend the event. A free will offering will be accepted.

Founded in 1994 the Gloria de Hispanic Mission offers a variety of services and classes to the community including a preschool, a tutoring program, English classes, Spanish classes and folkloric dance classes. For more information on the Cinco de Mayo event, or any of the other services, call Tomas Angon at 462-8207 ext.  273.
