VALPARAISO | The South Haven Fire Department emerged victorious in the three-day “Battle of the Badges” basketball tournament held at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Club.

The South Haven Fire Department won 63-35 over the Gary Police Department in the Championship Game.

Participating teams were from: Porter County Sheriff’s Department, Chesterton Police Department, Hammond Police Department, Valparaiso Police Department, Hobart Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Department, Gary Police Department and South Haven Fire Department.

Proceeds from the tournament support the youth members at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Club. The South Haven Club members and staff thank all of the members of the police and fire departments who took time out their schedule and participate in the tournament.
