PORTER COUNTY | Prevent Child Abuse Porter County will hold its third annual “Benefit Ride” on June 29. “Friends In Service Together," a motorcycle riders club, sponsors the ride. The benefit will begin and end at Leroy’s Hot Stuff on U.S. 20 in Porter. Registration starts at 11 a.m. with the first riders out at 12:30. Last bike in at 5 p.m. There will be a live auction and raffle winners to be announced between 5:30 and 6 p.m.
The cost is $15 per rider, $10 per passenger. The price includes Live Band and Taco Bar. Event T-Shirts will be given to the first 80 registrants. Call (219) 926-6211
The benefit ride is to support the activities of Prevent Child Abuse Porter County in their efforts in prevention and education of Child Abuse. Prevent Child Abuse Porter County is a chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, and has been a chartered member for the past 20 years. Prevent Child Abuse Porter County meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Greg Phillips Emergency Service Center, 1995 S.
