BOONE GROVE | A 16-year-old Boone Grove High School student was arrested Thursday after police said he sold two pills to a classmate on a school bus.

School officials and a school resource officer were approached by students who witnessed the transaction on a school bus.

Police said the 16-year-old boy admitted selling two pills prescribed to him for his attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. He sold them for $2. The 15-year-old buyer also admitted his role.

The 16-year-old was taken to the county Juvenile Detention Center because it violated the conditions of his current probation.

The 15-year-old boy was released to his mother. He could face further charges.

School officials reported to police that they reviewed video footage from the school bus and it corroborated the students' stories.
