VALPARAISO | More than 140 golfers participated in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County 32nd annual golf outing at Forest Park Golf Course.

The event raised more than $30,000, which will be used to provide needed programs and services to the nearly 5,000 youths served each year by Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County.

Golfers enjoyed clear skies, warm temperatures and food and as they made their way around the 18-hole golf course.

Adding to the excitement of the day was a hole-in-one hit by Valparaiso resident Ed Malone. It was the first hole-in-one for Malone and the first one in the history of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County golf outing.

Malone won a golf vacation sponsored by Kennedy Mazda, Barile Ford, Team Chevrolet, Paul Sur Buick GMC and Grieger’s Motor Sales.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County is grateful to event volunteers and to companies that sponsored the outing, especially M.E. Simpson Co. Inc., the event’s presenting sponsor.
