CIVILSUMAN - Col. Suman Grave Marker Cerermony

Civil War re-enactors with Company B of the 20th Indiana Infantry stand at attention during a ceremony Monday commemorating a new marker at the resting site of Col. Isaac Suman at Maplewood Cemetery in Valparaiso. The marker acknowledges his injuries suffered while helping command the 9th Indiana Infantry on New Year's Eve in 1862 at the Battle of Stones River in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
