CIVILSUMAN - Col. Suman Grave Marker Cerermony

Civil War re-enactors David Crane, left, and Michael Miller lay a special marker Monday at the grave site of Civil War veteran Col. Isaac Suman at Maplewood Cemetery in Valparaiso. A ceremony installing the marker was part of a regionwide movement by the South Shore Civil War Memorial Trail to lay headstones and special markers at the resting sites of Northwest Indiana Civil War veterans.
