WESTVILLE | Purdue University North Central will continue its Diversity Brownbag Series on March 27 with a presentation about the late baseball player Roberto Clemente, the immense impact he had during his life, and how that influence continues 40 years after his death.

The program will be from noon to 1 p.m. in Library-Student-Faculty Building Room 170A, just off the PNC cafeteria. It is free and open to the public. Guests may bring their lunch.

The Brownbag Series features PNC faculty, staff and residents leading programs that center on the topic of diversity. The series is coordinated by Bob Mellin, continuing lecturer of English at the university.

Dr. Kenneth Kincaid, PNC assistant professor of history, will discuss Clemente's life, his accomplishments and his legacy. In particular, the presentation will reflect on his social activism, especially as it related to humanitarian causes and race relations.

Contact Mellin at (219) 785-5200, ext. 5215, or bmellin@pnc.edu. People with disabilities needing accommodations may contact Mellin.
