Silvio James 'Jim' Troisi, of Valparaiso, has been named president of Everest College – Merrillville. In his new position, Troisi will oversee all administrative departments, including admissions, student affairs, educational programs, and community and business relations.
Troisi brings more than a decade of experience in the education field and almost 20 years of experience in management and leadership roles.
Most recently, he served as the campus director at the Branford Hall Career Institute in Windsor, Conn. Earlier in his career, Troisi served in leadership roles for various departments in career education.
“Jim’s a proven leader in the education field with outstanding personal academic credentials,” said Terri Hines, regional vice president of operations for Everest College. “The Merrillville campus, which trains and successfully assists in the placement of students in in-demand occupations, will excel under his leadership and direction.”
Troisi is working toward his doctorate in educational leadership from Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He earned his master’s in project management from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University.
Everest College-Merrillville, 8585 Broadway, offers a variety of training programs, including dental assistant, electrician, massage therapy, medical administrative assistant, medical assistant, practical nursing, pharmacy technician and surgical technologist.
