PORTER COUNTY | “Like” Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Facebook page during “National Boys & Girls Clubs Week” and Buchertech (http://www.buchertech.com) will make a donation to the organization.

Buchertech will donate $1, up to $1,500, each time someone new “likes” the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bgcpoco) through April 13.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County recently launched its social media strategy and invites the public to like, share, and support their mission through this generous incentive.

“Buchertech is pleased to sponsor this incentive during National Boys and Girls Clubs Week,” said Tim Bucher, President of Buchertech. “We want to help our community connect with and become more engaged in the great programs and services Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County offers as they help make a positive difference for the youth in our community.”

Every day, over 900 children attend one of the Club facilities in Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton and South Haven or one of their nine Kidstop sites in Porter County.

“National Boys & Girls Club Week is an exciting week for the kids in our Clubs and communities. Boys & Girls Club of Porter County is making a lasting difference in the lives of children and this week we’re celebrating and sharing that with everyone,” stated Ryan Smiley, Director of Operations for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County. “The financial support pledged from Buchertech to donate $1.00 for every new ‘like’ on our Facebook page this week provides an incentive for the public to join our cause and support our mission through social media.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has been opening doors to GREAT FUTURES for Porter County’s youth since 1971. The Clubs provide high quality programs for nearly 5,000 boys and girls in the areas of character and leadership development, educational enhancement, career preparation, health and life skills, the arts and sports, fitness and recreation.
