VALPARAISO | Dimana Tzvetkova is able to work at the Valparaiso branch of the Porter County Public Library thanks to a summer teen internship program grant.
The 18-year old Valparaiso High School graduate applied for the program and was chosen among a number of applicants.
The library received the grant through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.
Tzvetkova will be helping out in the Youth Services department and already has been assisting summer programs.
"I will be working with kids and learning how to be a librarian," said Tzvetkova.
"Dimana will be doing story hours and helping with programs and will be shelving books, too," said Jenna Liesch, Youth Services assistant. "It's nice to have someone like her to rely on."
Tzvetkova also has been assisting patrons with online accounts and will be doing a special video project later in the summer.
She will be at the library through the summer before she goes to Indiana University to study math and English.
"I love working with the people here," said Tzvetkova.
