LACROSSE | The Current Issues class at LaCrosse High School competed in a public service announcement competition dealing with prescription drug abuse.
The PSA competition was sponsored by KeepRxSafe, a website that provides information about the abuse of prescription drugs and its effects.
The students made a 1-minute video informing the public about prescription drug abuse. There were 47 entries across the state of Indiana from nine school systems such as Plymouth, Indianapolis and Evansville. The video the class created received third place.
Much of the planning was done by five students in the Current Issues class, Mikaela Gordon, Jill Warner, Michelle Pazdur, Cody Mathis, and Tyler Sharp. Other students were in the video included Andrew Norris, Jenna Beecher, Brooke Long, Nate Rhodes, Callie McDougal,and David Shirley. Gabbie Sievers did the voiceover during the video.
