VALPARAISO | A Lakes of the Four Seasons man was charged with child molesting after a young girl in his care made a second claim of abuse over the past year.
Daniel Policicchio, 21, of 2302 Four Seasons Parkway, was charged with a C felony count of child molesting and is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Tuesday before Porter Circuit Court Judge Mary Harper.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred between Aug. 1 and Sept. 26, police said. The girl's father said he did not believe the claim because the 10-year-old girl made the same charge a year earlier and it was determined to be untrue by the Indiana Department of Child Services, police said.
After an aunt assured police she believed both of the girl's claims, police questioned Policicchio, who denied it at first.
When a voice stress test revealed deception, Policicchio reportedly told police he blacks out when drinking and it could have happened. Police said he then admitted to touching the girl outside her clothing.
