VALPARAISO | Opportunity Enterprises has $4,580 in Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits available for allocation.
The credits, which will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, will support renovations in OE’s seven group homes for adults with disabilities. The homes are located in residential communities throughout Porter County and provide 24-hour supervision and support for 43 men and women with disabilities, giving them a home-like experience and integration within the community.
Gifts will fund kitchen and bathroom updates in the homes that will increase accessibility for residents with unique mobility needs.
NAP tax credits are available for donations of at least $100, and allow donors to receive 50 percent of their total donation back in the form of tax credits through the state of Indiana. To find out more about the NAP program, visit www.in.gov/myihcda/2354.htm.
Anyone interested in participating in the NAP program can contact Liz Metts, grants and funding coordinator at Opportunity Enterprises, by phone at (219) 464-9621, ext. 333 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
