New center helps Down syndrome kids reach potential

Lainy Babjak, 4, plays with toys Thursday at the Chasing Dreams center in Valparaiso. The center offers support for children with Down syndrome and their families. Lainy's mother, Denise, opened the center in response to her own experience with Lainy, who has Down syndrome. "There's nothing like this in the state," Denise Babjak said of the center. "We have all types of support groups for the the family."
