VALPARAISO | The Porter County Sheriff's Department has purchased a new truck for the Porter County SWAT team.
The new SWAT truck is a 2013 Ford F550 RDV (Rapid Deployment Vehicle), said Sgt. Larry LaFlower.
The truck, manufactured by the Armored Group, cost $89,950. It was paid for by money collected over the past 10 years that was seized during traffic stops and other criminal cases.
