VALPARAISO | Opportunity Enterprises will hold an OE Family Finances Workshop on Jan. 22 from 5-6 p.m. The event will be held at OE’s main building which is located at 2801 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso.

The financial workshop is geared towards the caregivers of people with disabilities, but it is free and open to the public. Topics will include guidance on how to choose a trustee and a guardian, the roles and responsibilities that come with those titles, and how exactly to set up a Special Needs Trust or Guardianship.

“There are several financial vehicles that can be so beneficial to families caring for those with a disability,” said Kacie Ensign, Donor Relations Coordinator. “Financial planning can alleviate some of the concerns caregivers have regarding their loved ones’ long term needs.”

For more information on this event or to RSVP, please contact Kacie Ensign by Friday at 219-464-9621 ext. 244 or at kacie.ensign@oppent.org.
