Pines Village CEO Laurie Mullet named to National Leadership group
VALPARAISO | Laurie Mullet, CEO of Pines Village Retirement Communities, has been named to the Leadership Circle of the national LeadingAge organization (formerly the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging [AAHSA]).
Mullet will be a partner in LeadingAge's mission of "Expanding the World of Possibilities for Aging." In addition to semi-annual meetings, she will attend the 2012 LeadingAge Peak Leadership Summit, the premier event for strategic leaders in the aging services field, April 23-25 in Washington, D.C.
The Leadership Circle is charged with sharing successful business models from the field, serving as a high-level focus group on emerging issues, and supporting development of leaders with the capacity to create the future of aging services.
"It's an honor to be invited to the Leadership Circle," said Mullet. "Since the group will work to improve the quality and creativity of housing and services for older persons, I am delighted to contribute."
Mullet currently serves as chair of the board of LeadingAge Indiana (formerly IAHSA).
The LeadingAge community includes 5,400 not-for-profit organizations in the United States, state partners, hundreds of businesses, research partners, consumer organizations, foundations, and a broad global network of aging services organizations that reach more than 30 countries.
