Valparaiso police are investigating a report of a 14-year-old girl being grabbed by a man as she walked home on Saturday night.

Police were called at 8:49 p.m. Saturday about an incident in the area of Eisenhower Avenue and Worthington Drive.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl was walking home alone, on the sidewalk, when a man leaning against a tree grabbed her shirt and said “come here.”

The girl pushed the subject away and ran from the area.

The man was described as white, in his early 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a “DC” emblem on the front of the sweatshirt.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
