UNION TOWNSHIP | A Union Township man who eluded police on Tuesday was arrested Wednesday night after trying a second time to run from police.
Police had been to a home in the 300 block of Raven Court to serve a warrant for Robert Kenstavicius on Tuesday, but police said he escaped by climbing through a window while they were searching the house.
Police returned to that home late Wednesday night and saw Kenstavicius inside.
Police said he tried running from the home, but collapsed after a short foot chase when an officer deployed his Taser.
Police said he initially resisted attempts to put him in handcuffs, but he complied after being shocked a second time by the Taser.
Police said they found four hypodermic needles and other paraphernalia in Kenstavicius’ coat.
He was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
He also had four outstanding warrants.
