Police are investigating claims that more than $15,000 was stolen from the Culver's restaurant in Michigan City.
Investigators became aware of the case when a manager complained Sunday that an employee opened a safe in one of the offices and removed $750.
The theft was captured on surveillance video, police said.
The manager also informed police that $15,000 turned up missing in 2013 from the restaurant along U.S. 421 famous for its custard and the same employee is suspected in those thefts.
Police said no arrests were made but an investigation has begun into the allegations.
