VALPARAISO | Police said a man apparently upset about not receiving a prize for an arcade game was arrested Thursday.
Christopher Jeffries, 21, was charged with criminal mischief, public intoxication and possession of marijuana.
Police were called about 7:30 p.m. to Buffalo Wild Wings, 212 Lincolnway, for a report of a man pounding on a door.
Police arrived and found a man matching the description given by the caller standing outside yelling at an elderly man.
Police took Jeffries into custody. They said he had a blood alcohol content of .297, more than three times the legal limit.
A manager at Buffalo Wild Wings told police Jeffries had been in a nearby game room and and thought he had earned a prize, but didn't receive it. He was told to call a number on the game because Buffalo Wild Wings does not own the games, police said. The manager said he returned to the kitchen and heard a loud banging noise.
Officers said Jeffries had damaged a door at Elegan Customwear on the second floor of the building.
He was taken to Porter County Jail where jail staff found marijuana in his pockets, police said.
