Porter County police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect in the theft of a debit card who is pictured in a store surveillance photo using the stolen card.

Police were called Friday to a home on Loganberry Lane in Porter Township, where a resident reported his wallet was taken from his car, which was parked in his driveway.

The victim provided police with a list of fraudulent charges that occurred before he could notify his bank.

Police on Wednesday released a photo that they say shows a man who used the stolen card. Police are asking the public’s help identifying the man.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the man to call Detective Capt. Larry Sheets with the Porter County Sheriff’s Department at (219) 477-3142.
