VALPARAISO | A man accused of groping two women at a bar early Wednesday will face sexual battery and public intoxication charges, police said.
Fernando Alvarado, 30, of Valparaiso, was arrested after the women approached officers responding to a disturbance call at Franklin House, 58 Campbell St., about 2:45 a.m., police said.
One woman told officers that Alvarado, whom neither of the women knew, had rubbed his hand against her leg and made vulgar comments before her date stepped in, police said.
She told officers Alvarado later approached them again when their dates went to the restroom and put his hands down one of their shirts, groping the woman and placing his hand up her dress as she pulled away, police said.
Alvarado had a blood alcohol content of 0.22, police said.
