Monthly breakfast at legion

PORTAGE | Portage American Legion Post 260 hosts a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. the last Sunday of the month at 5675 Mulberry Ave. Cost is $7 for adults. Call (219) 762-3541.

Pancake breakfast

BEVERLY SHORES | St. Ann of the Dunes annual pancake breakfast is from 8:30 a.m. to noon at 433 D. Golfwood Road and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus sausage, juice and coffee. Cost is $5, ages 4 to 10, $2. Call (219) 879-7565


Music in the Park

PORTAGE | The Portage Summer Music in the Park offers a free indoor concert every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. through August. The Relics will perform in Oakwood Grand Hall at Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Road. Call (219) 763-6238.


 Senior Executive club

Avalon Springs Health Campus hosts a monthly Senior Executive Club from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Avalon Springs Health Campus, 2400 Silhavy Road. This event is free and open to seniors. Lunch and entertainment are provided. Call (219) 462-1778.

PORTAGE | Portage American Legion Post 260 will hold its fish fry and bingo every Friday at 5675 Mulberry Ave. Fish fry is at 4 p.m.; early bird bingo at 5:45 p.m. Call (219) 762-3541.

Veterans Festival

American Legion Post 502 is hosting its 5th annual Veterans Festival from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday at the post, 429 W. County Road 750 North. Keith Anderson will perform at 9 p.m. on Friday; $20 for the show. Call (219) 331-5142.


Volunteer training session

VNA Phoenix Center is offering facilitator training for adults over age 18 to provide support for children, teens, young adults and their families grieving the death of a significant person in their life. The training is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 501 Marquette St. Call (219) 531-8042.

Royal Family Kids Camp Car Show

PORTAGE | Portage First United Methodist Church will host the 2013 Royal Family Kids Camp car show at the church, 2637 McCool Road. Registration is from 9 to 11 a.m. and is $15 in advance or $20 day of show. Trophies will be awarded at 4 p.m. Door prizes and food will be featured. Cars will be judged by church members and the general public. All proceeds go to offset expenses for deserving kids to go to camp. Call (219) 742-0926.
