AARP Driver Safety program

CHESTERTON | The AARP Driver Safety program will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the Thomas Library Bertha Wood meeting room. Registration is necessary. Visit www.aarp.org/drive or call instructor Jeanette Pike at (219) 949-6307 for more information or to register. The program is designed for drivers 50 or older, but all ages are welcome. Attendees will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate vehicles more safely.

Spring cleaning seminar

VALPARAISO | Avalon Springs Health Campus will offer a spring cleaning seminar from 2 to 3 p.m. at 2400 Silhavy Road. Keynote speaker Tina Robinson of Tina's Time Savers will present tips and hints on spring cleaning. Other vendors will display products and services. This event is free and open to the public. VALPARAISO | A community forum to discuss prevention of child abuse and neglect will be presented by Prevent Child Abuse Porter County from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Christopher Center Library at Valparaiso University.
